How to write a story

To write a story or book successfully, there are a lot of steps. Use this guide, and maybe you could be the next Roald Dahl!

Think about your characters. Are they shy, brave or just normal? Do they have a family, or are they orphans? They might not even be people! Your main character(s) might be a platypus,  for all I care! Let your thoughts rampage!

What is your plot?  Do the characters Fight evil? Or are they evil? as I said before, there is no need to make the characters live. Personally, my style of writing is to give it a twist. Like making the ‘goodies’ lose. Think out of the box!                                                       Draw a plan, like a hill or something. In each story , there is a beginning, a middle and an end. Also, there is sometimes a build up and resilution. Order these on your hill/mountain. begining, build up, problem, resilution, and Ending. Write small notes around this, e.g.     Begining: Introduce characters. Candy is a fresh, Stunning girl, 10 years old. lives in New York. 3 brothers.

Next, Think about words you can use. Take a boring word- Big, for example, and improve it. Huge, Massive, Humungus, things like that. Use fronted adverbials; if you don’t know what they are, look at this sentence:

In a spilt second, the world had turned black

‘In a split second’ is the fronted adverbial. always put a comma before it.

speech. It’s really triky. UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT!  Speech always has inverted commas, or speech marks. (both the same thing) Don’t use too much speech in your stories, other wise the reader will die of bordem. And you really don’t want that to happen!

Ok, That’s all from me, about how to write a story! I hope it’s usefull!
